After buying the practice two decades ago, Principal Dr Jim Skyes had a clear vision: to provide the care patients deserved. But years of working under an NHS contract left him exhausted, struggling to find enough time for patients and questioning whether the practice could continue as it was.
Moving to private dentistry felt daunting. He worried about how patients would react, whether the practice would remain viable, and what leaving the NHS would mean for him and his practice financially.
